Following the success of our cruise on Explora I in 2024, we booked again on MSC's new luxury brand Explora Journeys, this time on their newest ship, Explora III, due to debut in mid 2026. At 70,000 tons and 20m longer than their first two ships, Explora III would be LNG-powered but otherwise almost identical to the first two ships and with the same number of passengers.

Unfortunately, within three weeks of booking, we were notified by Explora Journeys that they had changed the itinerary to something completely different and as there was no other sailing available that even vaguely matched the itinerary we had hoped for, we decided to cancel the booking!
